OK, here we go. First Post.
I created this blog to document our venture into doing a remodel of our home. Currently, our home is a small (1200 sq ft) early 50’s ranch in Winter Park, FL. When we are done, we will be at about 2700 sq feet, modern home.
I will diary how things went, what I learned, what I was able to do myself (have to stick to the budget!!), as well as posting pictures of progress of what will be our new home.
I have always believed that there is more than one way to skin a cat (sorry George!!), so I will attempt to provide with any insight as to how things were done in order to keep them affordable.
Please feel free to post or ask questions.
We should be breaking ground within the month (November), hopefully!!
In a nutshell, project will entail:
Ripping off the roof to add a second story
Underpinning the house so it will not collapse!
New Garage
Etc……….
